At the same time ( or just about ) I planted this Boston ivy. ( I haven't decided what is worse my typing or my picture taking) It has grown some also. Not as fast as the snail vine but it's holding its own.
You all know by now how I love to buy pretty jars of jam, well the truth be known when ever I can I like to buy any food that comes in a pretty container. But it is normally a treat because it is a bit more pricey. One of my favorite's to buy are Biscotti, although for some reason I don't buy them often enough but they are a tasty snack with a cup of coffee.
It amazes me how they package these yummy snacks in such pretty packages, even at the normal grocery store. When I do buy these yummy snacks I like to bring them home and but them in a pretty jar. Then I never eat them because they look so pretty in the jar. It truly can be the small things in life that can make such a big difference.
Today I will not post a picture or talk about a project that I am doing. I thought about this post that I am about to do since July 21, 2008. On a older post I had ask for prayers for Kristy Dykes. She is a Christian writer, married, mother, and grandmother. I have been praying for her and her family. She had a brain tumor, and on July 21 she went to be with the Lord. Her husband is a minister and has been blogging for her ever since she has been in bed. To read about the courage and the love they both have for the Lord has touched my heart. To know 100% that the gates are open for you WOW what a blessing.I pray that I will go to heaven but I can't say that I know 100%. I want that confidence like Kristy did. If you have a desire to read her story I am sure it will touch your heart. Here is her blog

I had this little table on the side of our home next to my potting table. This has always been my favorite table. I wanted to move it on our patio so I could enjoy it a little more but the white just didn't go very well with our other furniture so I painted it black. Here it is before
and here it is after
I was happy with the way it turned out. The black looks pretty next to the pale green mosaic.I was a bit nerves painted the table but I thought to myself I could always paint it back.
I have one more project I would like to start and finish before summer is over, then I should be done. OH! my snail vine is to the roof, I will take pictures tomorrow or the next day and show you, I just can not believe this plant, I have been gardening for about 12 years and have never had anything grow so fast.
Have a wonderful day,
ginger
I received this on an email and it touched my heart so I thought I would share it with you today, the author is unknown.
You are in your car driving home. Thoughts wander to the game you want to see or meal you want to eat, when suddenly a sound unlike any you've ever heard fills the air. The sound is high above you. A trumpet? A choir? A choir of trumpets? You don't know, but you want to know.. So you pull over, get out of your car, and look up. As you do, you see you aren't the only curious one. The roadside has become a parking lot. Car doors are open, and people are staring at the sky. Shoppers are racing out of the grocery store. The Little League baseball game across the street has come to a halt.Players and parents are searching the clouds. And what they see, and what you see, has never before been seen.As if the sky were a curtain, the drapes of the atmosphere part. Abrilliant light spills onto the earth. There are no shadows. None. From every hue ever seen and a million more never seen Riding on the flow is an endless fleet of angels. They pass through the curtains one myriad at a time, until they occupy every square inch of the sky.North. South. East. West.Thousands of silvery wings rise and fall in unison, and over the sound of the trumpets, you can hear the cherubim and seraphim chanting, Holy, holy, holy.. The final flank of angels is followed by twenty-four silver-bearded elders and a multitude of souls who join the angels in worship.Suddenly, the heavens are quiet. All is quiet. The angels turn, you turn, the entire world turns and there He is. Jesus.Through waves of light you see the silhouetted figure of Christ the King. He is atop a great stallion, and the stallion is atop a billowing cloud. He opens his mouth, and you are surrounded by his declaration:I am the Alpha and the Omega. The angels bow their heads.. The elders remove their crowns. And before you is a Figure so consuming that you know, instantly you know: Nothing else matters. Forget stock markets and school reports. Sales meeting sand football games. Nothing is newsworthy. All that mattered, matters no more.... For Christ has come.

So I apologize for being a bad blogger and haven't been to visit you. I miss stopping by every body's blog. I have been working on a Bible study for the ladies class, that has been taking sometime as well, I tell ya I just don't have time to work ANYMORE!
http://clifditmoreblog.blogspot.com/ I don't get by very often to visit his blog ( my loss ) My husband reads it daily and enjoys it very much so. I have added his blog to my favorite blogs so I can stop by more often. If you ladies need a break from time to time I would recommend stopping by Clif's blog. Although he may not talk about whats pink in his office or what kind of curtains he put up, he will indeed get your interest. Although he has made some beautiful bird houses, he may share them at some point but more than likely not. But I will tell you this he will share his love for the Lord and we can all benefit from reading that.
It has been a busy week for me so sorry that I have not been to visit all of your beautiful blogs. I hope to do that today. Tuesday when my dear husband went golfing I had the opportunity to do some shopping. And I always look for marked down things. LOOK what I found for only $7.00 .
On July 12 my husband will be celebrating his 54th birthday
Happy early birthday. I got you a present and I wanted to give it to
you early. So here it is, unwrap your gift nice and slow.
I have been feeding the humming birds for years now, and I still just get one or two at a time and they fight on top of it. They are very aggressive little guys. I was reading that if you put out more than one feeder then they are more likely to play well with others. So I went and bought 4 little cute feeders for only .97 cents each and put them across my patio. I was not going to do the pretty red ribbon but I missed place the plastic hangers that came with it.OKAY the truth is my husband threw them away thinking they were trash. But that's okay because I like the red ribbon idea. I don't have any whimsical things around so I thought this was kinda cute.
Well at first my husband said WHY! Why don't you just buy a white lattice and put it in the ground and be done with it. Well I said because that's not what I want. SO ~~~~ He mowed the lawn while I got up on the patio to build what has been in my mind for about 6 months. I did not want to see anything but the vine growing up. So I walked around Home Depot for awhile. I knew there had to be something there I could use. I came across some stucco sheets. They had two kinds of paper on them I just took the paper off.
I had to add some lattice to the top of our patio because the flower bed is not even with the patio cover. I want the vine to grow on top of the patio for some shade.
Tomorrow I will share another project that I finished.
Have a wonderful day,
ginger
