HAPPY NEW YEAR

1 Corinthians 10:12-14

12 So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall! 13No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

Hello everyone

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. I think my Christmas was the most relaxed Christmas I have ever had. My husband and I never got out of our Jammie's and watched movie after movie and we ate left overs from Christmas Eve ( that's when we saw our children with our 3 grandchildren) We ate left overs Christmas day so I didn't even cook. My body needed that day SO much I have just been so tired. I have missed all of my blogging friends and I can't wait to get a chance to go to your blogs and catch up! Have a wonderful day

Just a small note to say hello to everyone and that things are so busy here that I will be back after Christmas. I hope everyone has a beautiful Christmas with family and loved ones.

Matthew 1:18-25

18Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
19Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.
20But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
21And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
22Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
23Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
24Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
25And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

Here are a couple of pictures of some napkins that were in a 1998 issue of Victory mag. I thought of Cindy from http://romantichome.blogspot.com/ She go a special gift from a blogger friend and they were napkins almost exactly like these. Check out her blog and see. A person can never ever ever have too many of these precious napkins. I will hand all mine down to my granddaughter. I hope that she is like me, I want to teach her how to cook, how to garden, how to clean,
my husband will have to teach her how to do laundry. I want to teach her that all of these things can be special not just chores. Its what we make of it. I want to teach her the difference between thread counts in sheets , I want to teach how to make a good pie crust, to cut herbs from the garden to cook with I want to teach her that some weeds are good for you and there is a weed that is BAD for you!! I want to teach her the feeling of drinking out of a tea cup instead of a mug.
I want to teach her that there is an art to listening to a friend when they are talking and I want to teach her about GOD!

This scripture was on my heart today.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (King James Version

King James Version (KJV)
Public Domain
9And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

But I am sure they are very helpfun in the inside. So I guess I shouldn't judge a book my its cover.

We Have an Angel

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

Sunday night my husband was in pretty bad car accident he is 53 and this is his first accident. What a blessing that he was not hurt, he had some pain but it is better. It could of been so much worse, I thanked the Lord for taking care of him that night. Things happen so fast in our lives that we need to be ready.

Okay my home is kinda small so every year I have a hard time making the BIG decision on where to put the tree and with a 10 month old grandson it will be a big decision. I think ( for now ) that the tree will go here where this table a lamp are, it just depends on the size of the tree. what do you all think?

Good morning

I am on a Cottage living forum and we did a gift exchange, well my partner only lives about 30 miles from me so we decided to meet at a cute town for lunch and exchange our gift. Her gift to me was amazing here is a picture of it, its a home made house and then there were gifts in each little box. It is SOOOOO CUTE! But even more it was just so exciting meeting someone that I have been talking to for awhile and already felt like I knew them. But before I went home I just had to take some pictures of some cute cute cute houses. I just love these houses. This town is just too cute!

Breakfast At Grandma's

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

Well for Thanksgiving my daughter and grandson's came over for breakfast and we didn't see our son at all. But I am hoping that next year they all come over for breakfast and then they can go to inlaws for dinner maybe it would make life a bit easier if I just plan on them being with inlaws so then I won't get hurt and I can still see them. So anyways this is what I made my grandson to eat well the 10 month old kinda ate a little bit of it but the 4 year old LOVED it he kept say WOW! Here is a picture of what I made I need to perfect it some as this just kinda came into my mind.

My camera is not working very well everything is kinda blurry I will have to make some adjustments ( I need to learn how first) But this guy was so cute I was surprised my grandson didn't mind eating him. When I first make pancakes that look like a teddy bear he cried because he didn't want to eat the bear. But to my surprise he ate this very well.

Have a nice day

Coffee table

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

Okay so I am a little behind it has been such a crazy week, but I am sure you all know what I am talking about. Last week Cindy at http://romantichome.blogspot.com/ ask us to post a picture of our coffee tables. Well the weeks gone and I am just now getting around in doing so. First off my coffee table only looks like this 50% of the time the other 50% it is just empty and moved to the side so my 10 month old grandson can have the run of the living room. When I first started to blog I was so excited to see that Rhoda at http://southernhospitality-rhoda.blogspot.com/ had the exact coffee table that I do. Well Jackie at http://inthelandofthelivingskies.blogspot.com/ posted her coffee table and bj at

http://sweetnothingsbj.blogspot.com/ posted hers the both were on time. But me I am late! so here is mine

Happy Anniversary (NOV. 24)

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

17 years ago I married my best friend, words cannot explain how much this man means to me. Of course we have are ups and then we have our downs, the downs are very few. I have the Lord to thank for this wonderful man. Here is a bit of information about the man in my life.
1. He would rather be in the kitchen than in the garage
2.He makes sure that I have clean clothes to wear
3. He lights more candles than I do
4. He puts roses on my pillow case
5. He sprays the pillow cases with linen spray
6 He drinks coffee out of a tea cup rather than a mug
7. He needs a tissue when watching certain movies
8. He LOVES THE LORD MORE THAN HE LOVES ME!
9. He would be the one to wash Jesus feet.
I love you Wayne Thank-you for being in my life and being my life!

Proverbs

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

Keep falsehood and lies far from me, give me neither poverty nor
riches, but give me only my daily bread.
Proverbs 30:8

There is such peacefulness about being content! Over the years this is something that I have struggled with.

I am trying to read my Bible more ( daily ) It's kinda sad because I could spend hours here online but only take a small amount of time to read my Bible. I need to have a happy in between. Lately I have not felt like I am getting anything from Sunday Morning at church and have been very disappointed thinking to myself I would like to see if I would get spiritual feed at a new Church. But then I read something and this is what it said:

If we neglect the habit of reading the Bible, we go to church spiritually starved. We will look to the church to fill our empty souls. And we will be disappointed, because the church cannot, in one or two hours on Sunday morning, fill the void that we create by neglecting the Word of God.
Come to church prepared. Read your Bible beforehand. You will be blessed, and Christ will be exalted!

Need Ideas

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

Does anyone have any ideas for these 3 holders I have, I though about putting candles in them for Thanksgiving and then for Christmas. What are some of your ideas to put in them. I am not very good at coming up with ideas. I did have coffee beans in one of them and then a candle but I am ready for something different. Thank-for your help.

My computer room/ spare bedroom

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

All though I am not done with this by all means I just wanted to share with everyone what I built all by MYSELF! My husband cut the wood for me and I did the rest. It was a closet and I added the desk top cut a hole for the cords in the wood and I had a glass top made with the hole in it also. I add two shelf's on the top for just some of my books. I want to make it much prettier but it will have to wait until after the first of the year. The very small shelf on the bottom I just added it has 4 sections for my bills week 1 ,week 2 ,week 3, and week 4. So that way I know what is due at that time of the month. I always like to get organized for the new year I am started early this year.
I thought about putting a pretty curtain across so when we have company over they don't have to look at all of this. I want to make a pretty chalk board myself to add to the back of the wall but I just don't know when.
Oh and the cords ( OMG!) I dislike them but I need to organize them so there not a mess.
have a nice day
