Being A Proverbs Woman

Picture from google images

Titus 2:5
5 to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.

Proverbs 31:17

17 She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.

I have always enjoyed being domestic and enjoyed making a home for my family.

One of my prayers are that my husband and I can grow old in our home, that I can be domestic and take care of my husband the way the Lord would want me to as I grow old. I do need to add that I am so blessed to have a husband who helps with everything, although I do enjoy being domestic working full time tends to make me a bit behind on things, that's where my wonderful husband comes along.

Another prayer of mine is that our granddaughter will have the desire to love the Lord and to be a proverbs women as well. I pray that I can set examples for her, as I'm the only woman in her life that lives for the Lord.

Last week I posted a song by the West Ladies, well as the week went I looked at their web page. They have different domestic DVDs for sale for example how to make bread, sew, make soap, candles. I bought one on how to make things with different herbs from the garden. I received this video already and it truly put a smile on my face. My husband even enjoyed watching and learning all the different things to make. Here is the link just in case you are interested, Blessings.

I would love for you to stop by Spiritual Sunday to read some wonderful post this weekend.

July 23,2010

Today is Friday and we have had our granddaughter since Wednesday so needless to say I'm tired. My wonderful mother in law and sister in law are here also to help while we are at work, our home is full. So I have had little time to think of a post this weekend so I decide to do one thats just kinda fun and light hearted.
I came across this song and I just fell in love with it. It surly put a smile on
my face.

I hope that you enjoyed this as much as I did.

Reflections
July 17,2010

The morning time is by far my favorite time of day. I love having that hour before work to enjoy a conversation and coffee with my best friend, my husband. Every morning at the same time I pour my coffee and get my cream out of the refrigerator. One morning this past week I saw a reflection of our lace curtains on our refrigerator. I have never noticed this before so it took me by surprise, the reflection was beautiful. It made me think about what kind of reflection do I have as a person, is it beautiful, is it Christ like? Do people know I have Jesus in my life or are they taken by surprise when they find out? I want to have the reflection of the Lord when people see me, I want my light to shine.

Matthew 5:14-16

14"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Confident
July 11,2010

What is true happiness? What makes you smile? It's knowing all's well when facing a trail. It's doing the best you can do every day,

Then trusting the Lord to protect all the way.

Written by Elizabeth George

She is strong and respected by the people. She looks forward to the future with joy.
