It has been a while sense my last post I have been very busy. I planted a walk way with box woods our front yard, its very sweet. I was hoping to get more done in the garden before it gets to hot but that didn't happen. The ladies at church wanted me to have an outing at my home in my garden but its just not up to par, I am weird when it comes to that I like have things just so. It would cost a pretty penny all at once if I were to decide to do. Plus with it being so hot its just not a good idea. It so hard being frugal when it comes to gardening. I do have some seeds I need to plant but its too hot now I will have to wait until fall.

I am so guilty at not being so frugal in the garden, I like that instant gratification,but not this season I think I have spent maybe $25.00 so far at the nursery and I have seeds I need to plant. I can not go to the nursery it is like an alcoholic in a liquor store.
This is the time of year when I eat, sleep, and breath what I want to do in the garden. I was going to put in a walk way in the middle of the grass with a bench but now I thought it threw and decided against it, I like putting a blanket there and sitting on the grass under the trees so the grass is better at this point, for our grandchildren as well. Speaking of grandchildren it is a challenge to plant things knowing that they will be walked on and played with because our grandson loves to go up on the hill and play, I don't mind him doing so I just need to plants things that are giving. Right now it is mostly dirt ( pretty dirt)
so he has so much fun up there but after the plants go in it will just be more challenging for him that's all. I do have an area up there that is almost done it is more formal and then the rest will be more like a cottage, I love cottage gardens with a touch of formal like the box wood hedges and other green shrubs. My favorite is the English roses but I don't just like a group of roses together I like to isolate each one with boxwood's in between I think you can see the beauty of each rose better than when they are just all in a group.
I once read that people who play in the dirt are happier because of something in the dirt, no wonder I am a happy person! I play with alot of dirt.

Well I haven't wrote in my daily post for sometime now, only because I was getting bored reading my own post! Its that time of year again my favorite part of the year is spring, although they don't last long before summer gets here I try to do all of the hard and heavy gardening before it gets to hot. I found a new favorite web page it is of a garden that is so beautiful you can sure tell this couple truly have a passion for gardening, you can tell that it is more that putting a plant in the ground. This couple our my new mentors, it is hard for me knot to e mail them all the time asking questions and to just see what they did in there garden for the day. It truly is a challenge this year being frugal and all ,I can't just go to the nursery every time I work in my garden but it is kinda funny because now I spend more time weeding and dead heading that my garden looks prettier than it ever did it is nice and clean you can see flowers now not dead flowers. well when I have a extra minute I will post my new favorite web page.

Are your friends frugal? I found out that if your friends are frugal then it is easier to stay in line with being frugal. We have some friends that like us to go out to eat all the time with them, but that is very costly so it took me a while but I just had to tell them that my goal is to be frugal because I want to be not because I have to be. It is easier now than at first. I think they understand.

Dinner tonight is chile in the crock pot ( I love my crock pot it is my new best friend) I bought two sour dough bowls marked down .99 cents each so that will be a big treat with out chile. At Albertson's this week they have when you buy 2 of certain products you get $21.oo in coupons for FREE items yes FREE so I spent $4.00 and I got a coupon for 2 FREE salad bag 2 FREE Hormel lunch meats and a FREE Paul Newman's salad dressing, and all I spent was $4.00 gotta love it!!!!

It has been so nice outside that I started working in my garden its seems like forever. We don't have our gardener any more I can use the extra money for now but I think I will need some help, it is hard to do all of the trimming myself. This is the BIG test on just how frugal I am is buying plants, I am going to try to do most of them buy seeds this year , my bulbs have already started to come up and bloom it is beautiful. If anybody has a good recipe for the crock pot I can use some new ones.

he is talking to me in SO many ways! I have just not been listing to him. I think that it goes both ways WE need to LISTEN to GOD! It is by his grace that I am here and surviving everyday challenges. Don't put the blame on God but the blame on YOU! Because maybe your not the one listening.

Good morning all of my frugal friends, dinner tonight is going to be left over pinto beans and fried potatoes. I plan on making a new frugal recipe this week with lentils and brown rice. I just know my husband will love it? We really need to eat more healthy so once a week I am going to add some sort of beans to our diet. Okay so maybe I will make it next week. We ate out twice yesterday we haven't done that forever I kinda feel bad but we were out all day, helping my son move then we went to church so that was just the way it had to be. I was to tired to make my husband lunch today, I do need to work on that!!! I hope to accomplish at least one thing to day hopefully to work in the front yard
( or play ) I am having a baby shower here in March so I kinda need to do some extra work, we should have company more often I tend to get more done!

Goodmorning my favorite time of the day is morning I look forward in drinking my coffe and going to my favorite sites on the computer and visiting all of the frugal people at about .com. It is so nice to know that so many ladies have a desire to be frugal to save and to use and reuse and to COOK at HOME.That was one of my biggest downfalls was eating out but now that I have got that down I lood forward to cooking. My husband enjoys cooking as well. Tonight I will make porkchops and macaroni salad and a veggie of some sort. I sure wish today was a stay at home day but I have to work so I better go for now not a lot to say today.

I don't want to work harder to make more money, I want to do without and save money! Itseems like the more money I have the more I spend. Its is amazing to me how much one can spend on just small things, for example one card is at least 4.00 dollars sure they have the .99 cent ones but your probable thinking I can't just spend .99 cents on a card . I have learned the hard way on not to worry about what people think. If they don't like the .99 cent card then they don't deserve ANY card! I feel like a different person as I view money differently now, I use to think well its ONLY 20.00 dollars or I have to BUY it because it's on SALE . Since I am somewhat new at being frugal ( about 5 months now ) I still stay away from the stores that I love, because I CAN,T BE TRUSTED . But God wants us to use are money WISELY and I have not done so in the past so that is one of my goals.

Good morning everyone and anyone who happens to stubble upon by blog
I just wanted to write about how so many people that I know are not content how they just need to buy one more THING. I was one of those people for a very long time! (TOO LONG) I am not sure why I changed but I think the Lord everyday. But as I get older I get more gratification if I pay a bill or make a dinner, or use something I have instead of buying something new. Although it may be easier for my to be content because we just remolded our house. Its has not been easy and I truly feel like I learned a lesson on being content. I think God had something to do with that! My famous last words are next month will be better! Well I know it will be because I have learned to live with less. I am so very blessed to have a wonderful husband and a warm house and food. No matter what struggles I go through financially I always thank the Lord for teaching me the lesson (A HARD ONE) on being CONTENT

This morning I went on line and went to sights that give away free things or trials for different things. Of course frugal me can not pass up anything FREE so I signed up for all kinds of coupons and free samples that will come in the mail, I feel like I am just getting started with all of this frugal stuff, but there are a lot of offers out there and free samples I was overwhelmed with all of the free things and trials you can get, count me in. Thanks to Lin at Frugalliving.com she gave me a couple of sites then from there there is no end. But we all know what that means more JUNK MAIL but I have decided that the good ways over the bad. After all that may be a dollar I can but towards a dept!! YEA
