Trust In The Lord

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

Isaiah 12:2

Surely God is my salvation;
I will trust and not be afraid.
The LORD, the LORD, is my strength and my song;
he has become my salvation."

We must continue to ask God for wisdom and
insight for strength to preserve.
He will cause us to rise up and fly
like eagles, walking and not fainting.

White Wednesday

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

This is my first White Wednesday that I am participating in, since white is my favorite color I thought I would join in on the fun. On my side bar just click on White Wednesday and you can visit many more blogs that are doing this fun tribute on white.

First I want to say how much I love white shutters and I use to have them on this window before we did our kitchen renovation. The window size changed so for now I put up some white lace curtains. My favorite thing is when the wind blows the curtains, I think it is so beautiful and serene and then the wind blows my little wind chime that is right by the window. Well I have decided not to put shutters in this window because of the joy I get wind the wind blows

Here is a picture of a white pot that I love. It has chips on it and thats why I love it so much because of the imperfection of it.

Thats all for my first white Wednesday I hope you enjoyed it.
Blessings

Titus 2 Woman

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

In Titus 2 verse 5 it tells us that women need to be keepers of our home. As a christian wife who works outside the home I have a hard time finding the energy as I get older to be the kind of women that Paul is talking about here in Titus.Being a domestic wife is something that I have always enjoyed, our home was always clean and I cooked every night, and even found the energy to work in my garden. I pray that the older I get I find the energy to continue to be this kind of wife for my husband. As we get older we need to monitor our diets more than when we were younger, I feel that my husband deserves the kind of wife that makes sure he gets all of his food groups that he needs to stay healthy, I feel that he deserves to have a clean home without him having to clean it. My prayer is that I can keep myself healthy so I can be a better keeper of our home, so that I can glorify God as a christian woman, wife, mother, and grandmother.
If you need prayers as I do in this matter please let me know as I will pray for you. Please visit here for my Spiritual Sundays,I'm sure you will find something that touches your heart.
My prayers go out to Debbie and her family may God be with you.

I just wanted to add something. The reason why this is heavy on my heart is because my husband does more work around the house than I do. I have been blessed with a wonderful husband who enjoys helping me. I would just like to be able to handle more of it than he does.

God Bless,
Ginger

Proverbs

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

I bought this book for our granddaughter it is called
God's Wisdom For Little Girls by Elizabeth George. I think all of us women like Proverbs 31:10-31, this book is from those scriptures. It is so precious, each picture is so pretty, it's perfect for a little girl. I hope it will bring wonderful memories to her as she get's older as we do the things together in this book.

Dear Lord,
I pray Lord that you will be with our granddaughter each and everyday. I pray that you will touch her mom's heart Lord and give her the desire to want you. I pray that you will give my son the strength that he needs to wake up on Sundays with his daughter and go to church and maybe someday his wife will follow.
It's in your name Lord
Amen,

Rainy Day Finally

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

We have had such a horrible drought this year hear in CA. It has been so bad that we are only allow to water our lawns on certain days of the week, they raised the rates as well and added penaltiesl. There are so many people in our neighborhood that have chosen not to water. Times are tough but it truly makes me sad to see these 23 year old trees have no water. So with that said praise God for the rain that he has blessed us with today.

Beautiful Paintings

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

The painting that I have posted here is from a painter by the name of Roland Lee. He paints beautiful landscapes and of course my favorite cottages, and churches. You should go to his blog Roland Lee blog and he has a web page Roland Lee's web page

I have been in the blog world since 2007, and it never seems to amaze me how many talented people we have in this big world. As you all know by now I have a passion for cottages, I think what I like most about cottages is that they are mysterious, they all seem to have ambiance and they all seem to have a story to tell. Well I came across a picture of a cottage that I just love ( the one above) and there were so many more from where that one came from. So you if you have some extra time you should visit both of his sites, I'm sure you will enjoy your visit there.

The Martha and Mary's Of Today

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

Luke 10:38-42

Martha and Mary offered hospitality to their friend Jesus,
a respected but somewhat controversial Jewish rabbi. Mary sat and
listened to him as he talked, but Martha objected to the fact that she was
left with all the work. Jesus told Martha not to worry about small things,
but to concentrate
on what was important.

Are you a Martha or a Mary? I don't like to admit this but I was a Martha. We would have guest over and I would be in the kitchen doing dishes even before they left. I would put house work before my family, and I would get upset if someone left a dirty dish in the sink. As I get older I realize now how wrong I was, and how much I missed out on. I made a promise to myself not to be like that with our friends now, and not worry about if our grandchildren make our house a bit messy. I have grown not to worry about the messy stuff and that it's a blouse that I wear not a super hero cape. I love the Lord and I am so thankful for all the blessings that he has given me and that includes every mess our 3 grandchildren make, and every guest we have over for dinner.

My children use to call me a drill Sargent but I was not aware of it until they had already moved out. I don't want that to be a nickname that is past down. I want my family to remember me as a woman who loved the Lord not someone who got upset because there was a dirty dish in the sink.

God Bless,
Ginger

A Little Of This And A Little OF That

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

Good morning,
I'm not sure about you but one of my favorite things to do is to be able to find new blogs and enjoy looking at them as well as the old faithful ones. It seems like I just don't have to much time to enjoy everyone's blog. Well this morning I have taken the extra time to myself and I just loved all the blogs that I visited today, they are truly inspiring. I have forgotten just how many blogs are out there in blog land. There are a couple of my favorite's that just don't post anymore or it has been at least 6 months or so, I hope they come back soon.

Search & Win

Have you ever heard of swagbucks? It is a way to earn points that equal money, or gifts while searching the web. I use this instead of google, although the search results are by google. I have 41 points already and that equals $5.00 just by using this every time I need to search for something online. Try it you may like it.

Feed On The Word

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

My Spiritual Sunday post for today is going to be different than in the past. I just wanted to do a short post to share these dishes. Have you ever hear of the company called feed on the word? They make dinnerware with scriptures . Here are a few of the scriptures you can choose from.

John 1:16

And of his fullness have all we received, and grace for grace

John 1:17

For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Psalm 84:11
For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly

Colossians 4:18
The salutation by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you. Amen.

Psalm 123:3
3
Have mercy upon us, O LORD, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
These dishes would make such a wonderful wedding gift, or any kind of gift.
