Bible Class

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

At our church we have a Bible class every Wednesday. We have a class for men, and a class for the women, and then one for both, so we have choices. For a few months I stopped going because we were watching video's every week in the ladies class, I liked the video's but I still decided to stay home. The last couple of months or so they changed it. Each woman is going to take turns teaching the class, even ladies you have never taught before are going to teach. I have enjoy this so much. I love to hear what these women teach. It brings a closeness to the class more than a video.

I wanted to thank everyone for the prayers that they said for Carrie, she past away this week. Such sadness beyond words!

God Bless,

Ginger

Hi Ginger,
I'm so sorry to hear about Carrie...that is a very sad thing to pass away so young.
About your bible class...I have to agree with you that having someone teach the class (or lead the class) is, in my mind, so much better than just watching a video.

Blessings,
Jean

I too am sorry about Carrie. I think the concern you showed will leave an impression for good on her family.
I think it is interesting to have different women teach each week.
Have a wonderful Spiritual Sunday.

I totally understand why watching a video week after week would get old. Interaction is so important.

Sorry to hear about Carrie, but know that you were an instrument of God in that situation. Your bible class sounds like fun!

I, too, was saddened to learn of Carrie's passing.

Kudos to you and your friends for making the decision to teach/share from one another's hearts!

Warm wishes for a happy week!

I am so sorry to hear about Carrie!

Bible study is so much fun when it is interactive. It deepens the study and everyone's participation lends greater insight. It is also more beneficial to the ladies who are giving the Bible study as they will have to get into the Word more thoroughly in preparation for the study. An all around more thorough and enjoyable Bible study period for everyone involved - I am sure! Videos have their place- but NOT every week - I agree with you!

Blessings on your day,
Kymber

The Bible class with different teachers sounds great.

I pray your loving witness to Carrie planted the seed of salvation and she is now with our Lord. You did your part.

I think it's a wonderful idea to have the ladies take turns teaching. Much more effective than a video each week.
God bless you and yours.

I was sorry to hear about Carrie-

I believe that each taking turns teaching is a wonderful way to express one's self. I would much rather do this-then watch a video too.

At our church they had women's meeting on Tuesday morning, but since I work on Tuesday's I am not able to attend. I miss this because for a while I was able to attend.

Hugs
