For about the last 5 years or so I have been trying just to buy things that I need. Although this has not always worked I am 99.9 % better than I was. I have the Lord to thank for that. Words cannot express how wonderful it feels not to want something so bad that I just had to have it. I am not proud of the way I was but yes I am proud of the way I am now. I feel closer to God in a different kind of way because I do without. Is there anything at all that you can think of right now that you NEED? I can't! I have a few wants but they will all come with time, but you know what, I'm okay with that!
Philippians 4:11
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am,
to be CONTENT.

My husband read this book by Josh Hamilton, he is the center field for the Texas Rangers. This is by far one of the best book that my husband has read. It is on my to read list and I hope I get to it soon.
Please listen to his testimony

At our church we have a Bible class every Wednesday. We have a class for men, and a class for the women, and then one for both, so we have choices. For a few months I stopped going because we were watching video's every week in the ladies class, I liked the video's but I still decided to stay home. The last couple of months or so they changed it. Each woman is going to take turns teaching the class, even ladies you have never taught before are going to teach. I have enjoy this so much. I love to hear what these women teach. It brings a closeness to the class more than a video.
I wanted to thank everyone for the prayers that they said for Carrie, she past away this week. Such sadness beyond words!

I went to Barns & Nobel last night to look for the English Garden magazine. They did not have it but I stumbled across this magazine. Artful Blogging. It was one of the most beautiful magazines I have seen in a long time. Even though I didn't buy it I opened it up and read a bit from it. It talks about how to be a polite blogger and that everyone like pictures, and comments on there blogs. I hope that you enjoy these pictures of this beautiful magazine. I found these on Amazon.
You can click here if you are interested in any of these magazine.

Hello my blogging friends, that's if I have any left!! I have been a bad blogging friend but I have felt that I have not had to much worthy to blog about lately. I'm not even on the computer to check all of your blogs. I went two days with out even turning our computer on. ( That's a first ) I think my husband thought I was sick or something.
Today is kind of cloudy outside and it rained yesterday so I thought I would make some home made bread today. I just love this recipe (below) although today I used whole wheat flour instead of white and olive oil instead of vegetable oil. I hope it taste as good as it looks. It is still in the oven so when it's done I will take a picture. Our home smells so good, I have bread in the oven and home made soup in the crock pot.
I'm so excited I bought a new printer, my other one stopped working( HE HE HE) My new one has a much better scanner than the other one. Before I had to feed the picture into the computer this one I don't have to do that. So a long time ago I had mentioned that I wanted to post before and after pictures of my kitchen so that will be happening real soon.
Well I better go check on the bread, I will be back with a picture to share.
Okay I'm back, the bread came out yummy but I would recommend use a recipe that calls for whole wheat flour rather than just substituting. It's was much better that last two times I made it, and I followed the directions. But it still a tasty treat. The recipe is on the bottom of this post if you would like to try it before the weather gets to hot and home made bread doesn't sound a appealing.
I hope that everyone has a great day.
God Bless,
Ginger
