Being Content

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

For about the last 5 years or so I have been trying just to buy things that I need. Although this has not always worked I am 99.9 % better than I was. I have the Lord to thank for that. Words cannot express how wonderful it feels not to want something so bad that I just had to have it. I am not proud of the way I was but yes I am proud of the way I am now. I feel closer to God in a different kind of way because I do without. Is there anything at all that you can think of right now that you NEED? I can't! I have a few wants but they will all come with time, but you know what, I'm okay with that!

Philippians 4:11
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am,
to be CONTENT.

Delphiniums

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

There are no delphiniums here, they are just some annuals that I planted a few weeks ago.

Baby tears are by far on of my favorite ground covers, I have it every where.

I'm so excited this is the first time in my 15 years of having some what of a garden that I have been able to grow delphiniums. We have had so many possum's this year that I think they are eating all the snails, and the coffee grounds have help also.

Script Errors

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

I think that I just ran every scan and update on my computer and I'm still getting script errors.

Does anyone else get these ugly little notes on their computer?

I cleaned my registry and it help more than I thought it would. For some reason I thought all I needed was a virus protection, goes to tell you how little I know about computers. I had over 2000 registry errors. My computer is running so much better now other than just a few script errors. I followed the directions on how to go to the tool bar and Internet options and check the box that says don't show script errors but they still come up every now and then. It takes all the fun out of being on the computer when all that comes up on every page is a script error.

I just thought I would share this, if anyone has any one can explain to me on how to get the script errors to go away for good let me know, I would love this information.

Bible Class

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

At our church we have a Bible class every Wednesday. We have a class for men, and a class for the women, and then one for both, so we have choices. For a few months I stopped going because we were watching video's every week in the ladies class, I liked the video's but I still decided to stay home. The last couple of months or so they changed it. Each woman is going to take turns teaching the class, even ladies you have never taught before are going to teach. I have enjoy this so much. I love to hear what these women teach. It brings a closeness to the class more than a video.

I wanted to thank everyone for the prayers that they said for Carrie, she past away this week. Such sadness beyond words!

A Magazine

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

I went to Barns & Nobel last night to look for the English Garden magazine. They did not have it but I stumbled across this magazine. Artful Blogging. It was one of the most beautiful magazines I have seen in a long time. Even though I didn't buy it I opened it up and read a bit from it. It talks about how to be a polite blogger and that everyone like pictures, and comments on there blogs. I hope that you enjoy these pictures of this beautiful magazine. I found these on Amazon.

You can click here if you are interested in any of these magazine.

Make sure you stop by Spiritual Sunday this weekend, I'm sure you will love it.
Have a blessed day,

Fair Is Fair

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

This title may have got you wondering what kind of post is this. Well if you read my blog then you may remember about two months ago I posted a little cute video on how to make coffee for my husband. He made a funny mistake and I wanted to elaborate on it a bit, some of you may think that's an under statement:). Well I must confess, I guess I need to review that video because, yes you got it, I made coffee but forgot to but the coffee in!!! So you can imagine that my husband surely is not going to let me forget this. He said fair is fair you need to post about it, he is right, so I did.
Okay if you have something kinda forgetful or a silly mistake, please share it with me, I promise I wont blog about it!
Have a beautiful day,

There is a young man where I work, he has worked there about 3 years. I don't talk to him much because we are in different departments. I do know that he chooses not to have the Lord in his life. I found out recently that his sister has cancer. I thought to myself I wonder if she has the Lord in her life. I ask this young man what hospital his sister was in and if she wouldn't mind if I went to visit her. He said that it would be fine if I went, I ask him to ask her first, well he did and she said yes. So Tuesday when I got off of work I went to the hospital to visit this lady that I have never met before. I was very nerves and thought of 100 different reason's why I shouldn't go. When I got in her room just by the feeling I got when I first made eye contact with her that she did not have the lord in her life. It is so hard to make small talk when someone is dying of cancer. I held her hand and talked just for a few minutes as I knew I should not stay long she was not feeling very well. I ask her if she would mind if I said a prayer, she said that would be fine, but ask that it be short. So I did, I said a prayer for this 30 something women who is dying of cancer, it was short and to the point. I'm not sure if I will go back again, I would like to go again and it would be more comfortable the next time, I will have to ask her brother again if it would be okay. All she can eat are ice chips, at my work we sell some ice chips that have flavor, one lemon and one Orange I thought I would ask if she could have them and take her a special treat.
Cancer is bad enough but I could not imagine having this and not have the Lord with me. Please pray for Carrie she needs all of our prayers.

French Bread

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

Hello my blogging friends, that's if I have any left!! I have been a bad blogging friend but I have felt that I have not had to much worthy to blog about lately. I'm not even on the computer to check all of your blogs. I went two days with out even turning our computer on. ( That's a first ) I think my husband thought I was sick or something.

Today is kind of cloudy outside and it rained yesterday so I thought I would make some home made bread today. I just love this recipe (below) although today I used whole wheat flour instead of white and olive oil instead of vegetable oil. I hope it taste as good as it looks. It is still in the oven so when it's done I will take a picture. Our home smells so good, I have bread in the oven and home made soup in the crock pot.

I'm so excited I bought a new printer, my other one stopped working( HE HE HE) My new one has a much better scanner than the other one. Before I had to feed the picture into the computer this one I don't have to do that. So a long time ago I had mentioned that I wanted to post before and after pictures of my kitchen so that will be happening real soon.

Well I better go check on the bread, I will be back with a picture to share.

Okay I'm back, the bread came out yummy but I would recommend use a recipe that calls for whole wheat flour rather than just substituting. It's was much better that last two times I made it, and I followed the directions. But it still a tasty treat. The recipe is on the bottom of this post if you would like to try it before the weather gets to hot and home made bread doesn't sound a appealing.

I hope that everyone has a great day.

God Bless,

Ginger
