Do Not Worry

March 27, 2010

1 Peter 5:7

7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

A dear friend of mine and her husband are in such need financial peace. Her husband has is own business and it's so slow for him, what jobs he has had they still need to pay him for. They are behind in their house payment 3 months, my heart hurts for them. They both have the Lord in their life's and know that the situation is in his hands. This is heavy on my heart this week and wanted to ask for special prayers for this couple, thank-you.

Ginger - saying prayers for your friends. The verse you posted really had new meaning to me a few years ago when we were having some financial difficulties. I wrote a devotional about it and it was posted on the Granola Bar Devotionals blog this past week. This is the link if you would like to read it or possibly be of encouragment to your friends.

So many of us can relate to what your friends are going through. We live in very tough, economic times.
I know you are sharing the light of Christ with them. I pray that they make it through this dark time in their lives with personal, professional and spiritual growth.
God is good!

I know there are so many struggling financially right now... It is such a scary thing when you don't know where the money is going to come from...

I will be praying for your friends this morning! May the Lord provide and give them peace to trust in Him.

Thank you for sharing.

Yes I can relate to this because we've been there last year. We have to give up the bigger house for a small one. Now we are starting over with the help of our family. I just prayed for your friends.

Hello, I'm sad to say that I'm also in the same boat, but I'm getting OFF! I learnt recently that I'm in lack & poverty becos' I do not know who I am in Christ! I strongly recommend http://www.kcm.org/media/index.php?p=media&formsubmit=1 select author:Kenneth Copeland & Bill Winston. Learn & know who u are in Jesus, what he did for you, the price He paid to redeem us with HIS blood! We are Abraham's seed, we are annointed, we have His blessings! He's ALREADY done & gave us EVERYTHING! We just need to use our faith to tap God's resources! Without faith, it's impossible to please God Heb 11:6. Listen & learn about God's laws where faith, kingdom of God & confessing the Word is concern...& set yourself free!! Ps 1:3, Jer 17:7,8, Ps 37:19, meditate on such verses, not the news!! We are to live not by what we see, feel or hear, but by His Word that tells us that even in times of famine, drought, bad economy, etc, we CAN be self-sufficient, prosperous & the world cannot effect us, only if we let it! Don't think it is God that makes bad things happen to you, becos' Ps 34:8 says to TASTE & SEE (go on, give God a try!) that God IS GOOD! & kick doubt out with Numbers 23:19 "God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak & then not act? Does He promise & not fulfil?" Isaiah 46:11 says"What I have said, that will I bring about; what I have planned, that will I do." & in v 3-4 earlier, He reminds u that He has been there since u were conceived, till u are gray, He's there to carry u, sustain u, & rescue u! If u have faith to believe Jesus is the Son of God, that He died for your sins & is alive today...then go ALL the way to know what else u have in Him! He didn't just come to die for u & to restore u to the Father, but He came to give u life, abundant life John 10:10 & eternity starts here & now..Get off this boat of poverty & lack with me, claim our inheritance in Christ! We can be, the Word says we are more than conquerors..greater is He, who's in us, then he who's in the world...God loves us...SOOOO much!!
