Believe in God

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

I had my post almost ready for today, but when I read Charlotte's opening for Spiritual Sunday I had the need to change it. My heart aches for the people in our Country. Do these people know the bible, have they read the scriptures? What scares me is that just like this blog on Spiritual Sunday I came across some that were atheist. I came across it by mistake, and could not get out of it fast enough, or should I have wrote something, did I not do what I was called to do? I know now that I should have wrote some of these scriptures below.

Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

John 8:12
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness

Proverbs 16:3
Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.

James 1:6
But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Storage Units

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

More that likely you know someone who has lost a job or you yourself may be unemployed. This story may interest you. I have always heard of people buying storage units and selling the items for a profit, a very good profit. It was not until just recently that I met two people who do this. A woman I work with does this on the side and makes a very good income doing so. I am blessed that I'm currently working, but I think this would be fun to do on the side ( if time permitted ) There are ways to make money if you are in need of something this may help you out for awhile. There are lots of article on the web about this so you can read a lot more about it if you want to.

Have a wonderful day,

Blessings

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

Have you ever met anyone that had nothing, barely making it day by day, but yet they tell you that they are blessed. A few weeks ago I noticed a man digging in the neighbors trash looking for cans, bottles and plastic to recycle. It doesn't make me real happy to see someone digging in my trash so before he got my house we talked for a minute. I told him that I recycle also, but I told him I would give him all that I had. He told me that this was his job. He said that he makes enough money to tithe, pay his rent and eat. He proceeded to tell me that HE IS BLESSED I didn't ask any question on why he was in this predicament, but I could tell that he was a happy man.

Proverbs 10

5 He who gathers crops in summer is a wise son,
but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.

6 Blessings crown the head of the righteous,
but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked.

7 The memory of the righteous will be a blessing,
but the name of the wicked will rot.

Tea Pots

Do you love teapots? I do, although I don't collect teapots I have a couple that I love.
I was looking for a teapot for a friend the other day online and I came across this teapot above. It is just too cute I love it! Of course I had to bookmark the shop that I found it because you just never know when I may NEED a teapot like this.

Have a wonderful day,

Linens

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

I think that linens are by far one of my favorite things. I have so many that I have to keep them in 3 different places. I love everything from kitchen towels, to bed linens, to table cloths. One of my favorite places to go it the Pasadena flea market and visit this one lady that all she has are piles and piles of linens. It's one of those things where you never know what treasure you will find. It has been a long while since I have been because I just can't justify buying more when I don't use all that I have now, that has never stopped me before but the older I get the more practical I am, and let me tell you it is so boring!! SO what I have been thinking about doing is going to the flea market and maybe buying some of those beautiful linens and try to sell them. Not everyone has a Pasadena flea market close to them. This has been on my mind for almost a year so I guess I should make up my mind.

Here are some pictures that I found online of some linens. Are lines something that you love to collect?

Women Of Faith

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

This weekend was the Women of Faith conference, this is my 3rd year attending this event and I look forward to it every year. There are speakers that are just amazing and touch my heart.
There is just something about being with 15,000 women who all believe in God, something about being in a room with 15,000 women praying. The weekend was full of emotions happy, sad, crying, laughing, singing, praying.

While I was sitting there in my seat looking at all of these women I had the need to say a prayer to myself, I knew that the Lord was there and I just thought to myself what a great opportunity, although I know he is there no matter where I am but this prayer is a prayer that I have been saying all week, and felt the need to pray it again.
The prayer that I said was for a dear blogging friend she had emailed me asking for prayers for her son. I'm not real sure on his age but I know he just got married a little over a year ago. He was on the families doc and he slipped and fell, he fractured his neck in 3 places. She said it was by the grace of God that he is not paralyzed. This family is heavy on my heart, if you can please say a prayer for them as well, I know that she would appreciate it very much.

I am so thank-full for all the prayers that are asked upon us, knowing that we are all here to pray for each other in times of need is truly a feeling of comfort.
Please visit more Spiritual Sundays HERE I'm sure you will enjoy reading all of them.
Thank-you,

A House Wife

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

Today is Friday, and I always work on Fridays but I'm off today. As I was laying in bed before I got up to drink my coffee I was pretending, just for a few minutes that I was a house wife. Remember the day, way back when dinner was on the table at 5:00 and there was even a dessert after dinner. I grew up in a household like that, but how I wish I could of been a house wife. My husband would love to be a house husband for that matter. I am so thank-full for my job these days, and even more thank-full for a day off every now and then so I can pretend that I'm a house wife. I hope your having a wonderful day, if your at work or home.
Blessings,
Ginger

Seven Days Of Work Make One Weak

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

Exodus 20:9-10

9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates.
