Prayer

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

I was thinking how grateful I am for the avenue of prayer. It is one of my favorite things about being a Christian. Just knowing that God hears us and wants us to go to him in prayer and tell him what we need, what we want, and what we are thankful for.

If my daughter goes a day or two with out calling me my feelings get kinda hurt. I know she is almost 30 but it is always a pleasure when she calls me. This is how Jesus feels, he wants us to call upon him everyday in prayer.
Here are a couple of my favorite verses on prayer.

Psalm 62:8

8 Trust in, lean on, rely on, and have confidence in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is a refuge for us.

Philippians 4:6

6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Answered Prayers

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

It is Spiritual Sunday please join us this week we would love to meet you.

For this weeks Spiritual Sunday post I just want to share two answered prayers that I have been praying for. The first is my husbands test all came back good, he has one more exray to take and that will be the last of the test. God is so Good thank-you Lord.
He does have to watch what he eats, you know the foods we all need to be careful of when we get older.
The second prayer that was answered is kinda funny to me because I got the chills and tears in my eyes and a smile all at the same time because I knew Gods hand played in this adventure 100%. Last week it was my turn to teach the ladies class at church, I wanted to talk about the different foods in the Bible. I thought to myself it would be great if I could get the company Food For Life ( they sell Ezekiel 4:9 products) to donate 20 loaves of the Ezekiel 4:9 bread. So I went to the company where they make the bread, and asked if they could donate 20 loaves of bread for the ladies class at church. She said sure they donate to churches all the time she just needed a tax paper and a letter head. The pick up days are Tuesday and Fridays. I went back on Tuesday to pick up the 20 loaves of bread and they gave me 100 loaves of bread and she said I could come back once a week to get food for the church pantry. I was thinking of God the entire time all this was taking place. They make a handful of different products here is the web page if you are interested in reading about the food they make here is their web page
Have you had any answered prayers this week? I would love to hear about them.
God Bless,

Judging One Another

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

Sometimes at work I need to me more careful because I feel that I pay way to much attention to other peoples work ethics. I know that we all have different things going on at work, but I need not to judge these other employees. It's hard for me to see someone get paid for something they are not doing. To me this is stealing in a round about way. This scripture comes to my mind when I need to be more cautions of what I'm thinking at work.

Matthew 7 1-5

1"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
3"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.

Coffee Grounds

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

Everyday after I make my coffee I empty the grounds into a pretty
container and when it is full I just put in in my garden. Well What I did not
know is that the snails dislike the coffee grounds, they don't like the way it feels on their bellies. So I now have some flowers like delphiniums, that would never grow before because the snails got to them.

In July I am taking a compost class with a friend from work, we are both pretty excited about it. I have learned a lot from the blog Compost Confidential also.

Have a great day,
Edit: Let me rephrase that, when I make coffee. My husband and I take turns, not every other day but some days I make the coffee and some days he makes the coffee. But never the less the coffee grounds still get put in the pretty little
container.

Mothers Day

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

What I like most about Mothers day, is watching my daughter be a mom. She has her days when she cries, she has her days when she laughs so hard that she cries. There are days when I call her just to say hello. I can here the boys playing in the background, she is talking to them, she talking to me, shes cooking dinner, and then the words come out, mom I have to go I'll call you later, I love you she says. I get tears in my eyes, tears of happiness tears of sorrow. Everyday I give the glory to God for the mother that my daughter has become and I give him all the glory that she is raising her boys, my grandsons to know Jesus.
Thank-you Lord!
I hope that all you you ladies have a wonderful Mothers day. Please visit Spiritual Sunday for inspirational devotions, stories and poems.
I have guest this weekend so it may take me a little longer to visit all of you, but I will be looking forward in visiting each one of you.

Look Upon Us Lord

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

God looks upon our hearts and knows whether we have any authentic desire to be different or if were all talk.

Plasms 139:23-24

Search me Oh God, and know my heart, test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there
is any offensive way in me and lead me in the way everlasting.
