Jesus Has Risen

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

1 On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. 2 They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3 but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. 5 In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? 6 He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 7 'The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.' " 8 Then they remembered his words.
9 When they came back from the tomb, they told all these things to the Eleven and to all the others. 10 It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the others with them who told this to the apostles. 11 But they did not believe the women, because their words seemed to them like nonsense. 12 Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. Bending over, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves, and he went away, wondering to himself what had happened

I am happy to announce that I have finished one project. It has been on my list for about a year now. So with this being done, I can start something new. This fountain was a gift from a friend , he never even took it out of the box. I fell in love with it, but was not crazy about the finish so I changed it. This is the before picture. I almost forgot to take a picture.

This is the finish look! I still have to put a coat of clear on to protect it from the water. I want to plant a vine in a pot in the coroner and have it grow up and around the fountain. This is next to our french doors so it will be nice to hear it from inside. Later this summer I will give you more of a tour, as you probable guessed it's really not company friendly as we speak. So later this spring or summer I will invite you back for another tour.
Have a wonderful day,

It's kinda funny how our prayers are answered sometimes. For the last week I have been praying extra hard about finding more time to read my Bible and to spend more of a one on one with God. Well the next day (Monday) my computer was not working. It was out for 2 1/2 days. So I think the good lord was telling me that I spend to much time on the computer. So I have decided to put him first the first part of my morning then the second part will be towards my blogging.

Tomorrow I will show you a picture of a project that I had to finish before I started one of my new ones. I just love that way it turned out. I have only had this project for about a year and just know found the time to do it. I hope all the other projects get done faster.

Have a wonderful day,

A bit of history

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

In a previous post I had mentioned about my grandfather dying at the age of 103. When he was two years old my great grandparents took him and they migrated from Russia to Germany and then from Germany they took this ship to the United States.

Here are the signatures of the passengers.
I will resume with my normal blogging things tomorrow, I just wanted to share this with you.
Have a nice day

One is nearer to God in the garden than anywhere else

It has been a long time since I truly walked around in my garden. I know that's pretty sad. ( wipe tears ) Well it was no surprise to me to see what I love to call my garden look like patches of dirt with nothing but weeds. As I continue to walk I could see a rainbow at the end of the storm. Here are a few of the things that I just got a glimpse of and made me smile. I hope you enjoy.

Even if nothing is growing it's nice to see a pretty little sign here and there.

This little guy made me smile. I like when the birds help me garden.

One of my most favorite things on a house are vines growing on the walls. Although I love it so much I have the worry about the tile roof, and the paint chipping. This happened by default, so it's staying and I do plan to plant more vines. Life is to short not grow something you love just because of a little chip paint.

These are rununculas, they are such faithful little guys.

Ever year they just get prettier and prettier. They make a beautiful bouquet for the house

It is such a treat to see the bulbs come up from all the hard work in past years.

This is one of my favorite plants it is a Japanese Lantern
The hummingbirds love this plant.

This was amazing, it is my plum tree. All of the white flowers
looked so pretty up against the green hedge, it was just glowing.
I hope you enjoyed walking in my garden

Good morning

Okay here are the pictures of my goodies that I bought. I am one of those people who just take very little money to places like the flea market because it's just all for fun. I need NOTHING ! So I bring just enough so I can go on a treasure hunt. I bought this mirror for only $10.00's I am going to paint it white and make a chalk board like Cindy did at http://romantichome.blogspot.com/

Although I did not buy this at the flea market I cannot decide
which one to make into a chalk board. I will show you the finish project and it will be a surprise.

I have tried to take pictures of all my linens before and just have a hard time you can never see all the detail. But anyway here are the few lines I bought. The white table clothe is so beautiful and there's not one stain.

This was just an amazing find. We left the flea market about 2:30 and we still had the bargain shopper mode on in our heads and still wanted to find some more good buys. After we dropped off all of the stuff in the back of the truck we went to the Goodwill and OMG! This china hutch was only $45.00 . It had an $89.00 ticket on it(I thought that was good) and it was half off. SO I just had to buy it. I am going to paint it black and but white linens in it. But I have other projects I have got to finish first.
Have a wonderful day and thank-you for stopping by,
ginger

I am back

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

I am back from my week off of blogging WOW! I sure did miss it. I did get a lot of work done. I got all my paper work together for taxes and I painted a fountain that I have been wanted to paint for about a year now. During the week I will show pictures of the fountain. But I have to share with you what I did yesterday. I went to the flea market with my sister in law and a friend of hers. It was so much fun!! I only spent $28.oo. I will show pictures of what I bought during the week. But here are just a couple of pictures I took while we were there.

Here are some beautiful old knobs they were$2.00 each not to bad

I did not get any but I love them they are so pretty

Here are some linens piles of them I think I was in

heaven.

This pile was only $1.00 and in the box were old hankies for

for only .50 cents each. It was so much fun. This was

was my favorite part of the flea market. When ever I

go to the flea market this is what I look forward to the most. I am having problems with other blogs loading and I can't edit my side bar all the way down. I am add blogs to my sidebar but can not add anymore until this is fixed. So I want to thank everyone for letting me use there blogs that they have listed until I can add all of my favorites back. ( yes they were all lost )
I hope everyone is doing well and I will talk tomorrow.
