I have a daily devotional call A Daybook of Grace. My post today is from this devotional.

Shipwrecked
In the day of my trouble I will call you,
for you will answer me.
Psalm 86:7

It is the trail of our faith that is precious. If we go through the trail,
there is so much wealth laid up in our heavenly bank account
to draw upon when the next test comes.
Oswald Chambers

Please stop by Spiritual Sunday to visit some wonderful blogs from
people who share their hearts and the love they have for the Lord.

G'day Ginger,

Thank you for sharing this wonderful devotional. I have been shipwrecked many times, and I can certainly testify to His promises! He is faithful, and He has so gently and and lovingly rescued me time and time again. Grateful am I for His endless grace and mercy.

May His peace and joy fill your heart. Wishing you God's blessing.

With love and care from Kerrie. xOx

Great quote and scripture. There seems to be no end to the trials in this life, but I think Oswald Chambers is right.
Have a blessed Sunday.

Thank you for reminding me of one of those awesomely encouraging and comforting Bible verses I so treasure on this last Sunday in Lent 2011. Definitely encouraging words and ideas to meditate on!

Oh yes Ginger - our trials are momentary; the rewards are eternal.

"the trail of our faith" - that is a beautiful concept. I'm glad I have one!

Sometimes the trials are so hard. Yet when we are children of God we will go through them. Shipwrecked is a good description..it is where I feel at the moment..in fact I feel chewed up and spewed out... Where would we be without the Savour? xx

It is a somber thing to think of all He did for us that one weekend, and the love that caused Him to be willing to do it. Oh how He loves us!

April 24, 2011 at 2:08 PM

Praise Him for what He has done for us!
