This is so true. Nobody likes to be disciplined, but I'm glad the Lord does it for our own good.

Good always comes from what seems difficult to us... and that includes discipline! Happy Spiritual Sunday.

Hi Ginger,
I was raised in home where the address was 12:11...the same is the verse--(my father was a contractor and built the home) and I feel like there must be some special reason I am reading this verse...interesting, huh?
Sending hugs your way,
Love,
Cindy

Hi Ginger,

This scripture reminds me of a Marine drill instructor who initially seems tough, harsh and uncaring; ordering recruits through a daily battery of exercises. At the time, you complain and hate this person but after six weeks, you body and mind have been honed into that of a soldier.

Blessings and peace.

A great “harvest” verse now that fall is in the air. Hebrews 12 is one of my favorite chapters. I’m thankful the Lord does give us discipline, even though I’m not always fond of it at the time. I definitely want to reap the harvest of righteousness. Thanks for sharing.

Discipline is not what we ever pray for...but it is the very best way to grow and realize our need for our Father! Praising Him for His wise Fatherly discipline!

Discipline is never pleasant and oft times makes us ask why me but it is always to prepare us to reap the harvest.

Awesome verse! In fact, it's one of the encouraging Bible verses I occasionally remind my grandchildren about ;) Discipline is definitely not fun, but what wonderful promises it holds. Thanks for a good reminder. :)
