39 You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me.

I confess I lack the discipline to read my bible every day. However, I do find that Spiritual Sunday posts and Christian music ministers to me. I am blessed to work with other Christians, so we share witness to one another.
When I was in Arizona recently, I just could not get enough of the sun. Your weather is perfect this time of year... so I can just picture you outside reading the 'good book'!
I do have a favorite place to read the Bible. I have a chair in an upstairs room that sits in front of a window. I raise the blinds all the way up and the light floods in. Before I sit down to read I can look out across an orange tree, a red tiled roof and a beautiful blue sky. That's most of the time. Then when I sit down to read, I remember that scene and feel the warmth of God's sun coming through the window. Your post is beautiful today.
I actually sit on our loveseat to read. I have a table with a shelf underneath where I keep my Bibles...
I have my Daily Light ( book of scriptures) by my bed to read before I get up in the morning...
Have a fun weekend with your family!
Hi Ginger,
I have a favourite chair where I sit and across from it is a beautiful picture which hangs on the wall. The picture is of a beautiful house, surrounded by flowers, and a church near by. It is very peaceful and relaxing to look at it.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my SS post because I know you are very busy with three little grandchildren in the house!
Blessings,
Sandi
Blessings Ginger... I have 3 places here in Mexico and a beautiful place back home in MN besides church! I do my daily reading either right here in front of the virtual screen, which gives me my passage for the day and other daily manna tidbits, then a special Mexican chair that I put a cushion on with my Study Bible and table...and then my hammock outside but I have a hard time with my whole Bible so I usually take my Spanish paperback or my bilingual New Testament there, but I'm easily distracted by the beautiful sky or sounds around and about, even my 6 barking dogs... so I never get more than a chapter read there.
Back home amidst my acres of pine trees, I sit up on a small hill over looking a little lake with an island, either in a gazebo or just on a log... with my favorite NIV.
Can't wait to enjoy God's beauty back home and all the way there across the states. ahhhh!
Now I really like this layout! EnJOY your grandkids and have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for hosting Spiritual Sunday and making us so at home!
Peace ~ Peggy at The Power of Your Love
I was here earlier but lost my comment so I went away frustrated but it was not your problem...my internet connection. Hmpf!
A lovely post. My favorite place to read my Bible is on my sofa, with the shutters open, and the sun shining in.
I have a very comfy chair that sits in my family room right by a large sliding glass door that looks out into the back yard and swimming pool. I can see the mountains, hear the birds (usually) and "feel" like I am outdoors. Especially when the door is open and the breeze blows in. Soo relaxing. ENJOY those grandkids...BLESSINGS
Mine is in my chair in my living room. I keep my BibleS and other study helps there.
I like to read mine in my bedroom or at the beach or most anywhere really
When weather permits, I like to go outside on my deck in the early mornings. Other times, I have a little "nest" (as my husband refers to it) on the sofa in our den. That is where I do most of my reading, studying, and writing.
However, I confess that I need more discipline to read everyday.
Blessings,
Joan
Hi Ginger,
This is my first time visiting Spiritual Sundays. Thanks to you and Charlotte for hostessing!
I enjoy reading my Bible online at Blue Letter Bible. THEY keep track of where I am in my reading, and I can choose from an assortment of reading plans.
Enjoy those grandchildren!
In my bedroom, usually at night~ but sometimes in the day in a comfy chair near a window...
I read a lot online too, but outside sounds like a wonderful idea to me. Blessings ~
When the weather is nice, I love reading my Bible outside on the deck and enjoying His creation (we have a beautiful panoramic view of mountains and forests from our property).
Have a blessed week, Ginger!
I too struggle to read everyday...but my favorite place is out side...near the woods...in nature. Have a ton of fun with your family. Sarah
I like quiet in the morning reading my Bible but I also like soft classical music in the background. I found the most wonderful plan to read through the year and I'm amazed how I look forward to it every day. Thank you for hosting SS.
Oh, how embarrassing, Ginger! My favorite Bible reading spot is the Reading Room in my house--the one with a THRONE! Yep, I like to keep my devotional materials in there 'cause I know I'll find some privacy.
Mostly my devotional time is in the morning sitting on the couch in my family home .Wonderful Post !
Blessings,
~Myrna
I used to red my bible in my bed lying down now I do it on the computer. I'm bad eh!
I LOVE reading where everyone goes to for their "quiet" time! I have a comfortable chair in my Mary Kay room... the sun streams through the window ... all is quiet and peaceful early in the morning before Mr. Hubby arises ... and I just feel so blessed in my "pink world"! Thanks for asking us that!
