Proverbs 3 5-6

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;

6 in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

These scriptures have been on my mind all week so I wanted to share them with you. They have helped me so much in the past, and I pray that they will help me in the future as well.

I wanted to let every one know what I'm doing. When we need prayers and ask for prayers sometimes my mind don't always remember all the names, even if it is just two names. I have a journal that I'm going to be using to write the names in so I can remember everyone who ask for prayers. I want to reassure you that when you ask for prayers I will be prayer for you.
Blessings,
Ginger

How beautiful. The Lord must want to bless you so much for caring about the details in order to pray for others.

Writing down the names is a good idea. You're right. It is hard to remember everyone we want to pray for. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Thank you for taking the time to pray for others. I am trying to learn to pray right then when someone ask for prayer. No matter where we are or what we are doing. Sometimes I am not the best for remembering to pray later. But thank goodness it is the Holy Spirit's job to remind us later. Thanks for giving us a place to share. Carol

Our own understanding...so limited, isn't it? Thank you for your committment to prayer. Knowing that someone is lifting you up in prayer provides strength and comfort. I also have to use a prayer journal, and when I get a phone call or email for prayer, I pray with that person right on the spot, knowing that the enemy will try to interfere with those prayers if I wait. Thanks so much for letting us know that we can call on you!

That's my fav verse I share with my son every day as a reminder of how important it is to trust in the Lord each day and commit everything we have to do in Him...God bless. Have a great Sunday!

Good idea Ginger. I can't always remember the names but I can remember the person and the need so I don't worry about it. God knows who I am praying for.

Hi Ginger, One of my favorites scriptures, and have committed it to memory. It has brought me much comfort in times of trials. Thank you for sharing. I am like you I started keeping a prayer journal some months back, and when i am blogging I keep it next to my computer. What an awesome privilege we have to share and pray for one another. And thank you for opening up your heart to us.
Blessings,
Sue

Ginger,
Great idea using the journal to write the names in. I use a tablet with the date and try to follow up. Thank you for Spiritual Sundays!

I remember years ago reading "Disciplines of a Beautiful Woman" by Anne Ortlund, pastors wife at Lake Avenue Congregational Church in Pasadena. She recommended writing down names and requests as part of a prayer journal. Off and on over the years I have done just that, but I have to admit it has been a long time since I last did. It's a wonderful habit and you have inspired me to begin to do this again, Ginger. Thank you!

Thank you Ginger! Those verses from Proverbs are ones I need to remember often. Please pray for my new granddaughter who is due any day now! The parents won't make up their mind on a name, so I call her "Sister Baby". She has two older sisters.

This scripture has been a lifeline to me as well Ginger! It's all about being on the right path isn't it? Please let us know about the prayer requests so that we can ALL stand for the needs. I appreciate all you and Charlotte do for this ministry.:)

Ginger, thank you for reminding me of this. I too sometimes forget who I am praying for. Writing down the names is an excellent idea.

God bless.
