Treasure in Nature

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

Sunset with flowers in the foreground.

If we are children of God,we have
a tremendous treasure in nature
and will realize that it is holy and
sacred. We will see God reaching
out to us in every wind that blows,
every sunrise and sunset, every
cloud in the sky, every flower that
blooms, and every leaf that fades.
By Oswald Chambers

Love the Chambers quote plus this beautiful picture! Thanks for sharing!

Dear Ginger, This poem you have shared has touched my heart deeply. God has provided us with everything and more than we will ever need. I love all things lavender, from soap to oils for stress relief BUT what I recently learnt was that you can also use lavender for cooking. Who knew?! Not me and I can't wait to see what I can make. I'm not such a great cook, but it's now school holiday's here in Australia. So my son and I have planned a few special and fun cooking days together. Wishing you a happy week. God bless. - Kerrie

That is so beautiful! Of course, you know how I love nature!!!!
Praying for the fire fighters in your fine state. So sad to see the forest burn and property destroyed.

So very true! I read a book once, many years ago, that suggested looking for all the miracles of every day - big AND little miracles. They are all around us, like the lovely roses that bless us year after year, and they are all such blessings from our Almighty God. Thank you for a sweet reminder!

A great quote because if we have eyes to see, the Lord speaks to so much all around us. He made it all.

Hello Ginger, thank you for your sweet comment today, Te photo you shard is proof that God and nature are in this world together.

I am praying that the fires will be over soon. Blessings and prayers go to the firemen who are risking their lives. Fire is so wasteful and sad.
Blessings, Jeanne

All of creation is a gift to us given out of His great love. Isn't that amazing to ponder? Trees created for us, oceans, rivers,...
Thanks for the reminder. I will pause longer outdoors today.
Blessings to you,
Sheila

I love reading Oswald Chambers' devotions, they are full of God's truth. Years pass away but truth lives forever!

I like your picture...beautiful! Sunflowers are one of my favorite flowers...they look up! We (I) could learn a lot from that one simple act.
Blessings!

What a striking photo! I agree 100% with that quote - for me, there is no place more spiritual than being in nature.

So that explains it. We were made to reverence. Those who don't know the creator worship the creation. It's because they see God in the details of nature, they just don't recognize Him. Those of us who understand don't worship it, we just appreciate it. A LOT!

Oswald Chambers is a master at words. Our God's creation speaks to my heart each time I catch a new glimpse of it. And I'm thankful.

Beautiful Ginger!

I have been meditating on this everyday... as I work in my yard and garden here at The Katillac Shack.

Today we have "flight training school" as the robins are teaching their young to fly....

God's creation is sacred and to be be honored, respected and protected.

Thank-you for you inspiring post!

love, kelee

I so appreciate the quote from Oswald Chambers. When I gave my heart back to Jesus, one of the first things I noticed was the beauty in nature - it was as if the veil was lifted from my eyes and I could really see beauty in God's world. Thank you for this lovely blog ~ I am a new follower! Many blessings ~ alice
