Giving

Posted by Ginger~~Enchanting Cottage

That was the best sermon I have ever heard on giving.

Acts20:35
In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.' " For more Spiritual Sunday's please go here

We are having our 3 grandchildren this weekend so it may be late Sunday before I get a chance to read all of your wonderful post. It's hard to have the 3 little ones and blog, they just don't go together, I've tried :).

haha the cartoon was great. I hear you on grandkids and blogging don't go together. I've tried to, and it is a total NO WAY, lol. I don't know how all these young mom's do it. Oh wait, maybe it is they are young and full of much more energy. They wait till the kids are sleeping. By then I am sitting in an exhausted heap. lol ENJOY your week-end. Blessings, Debbie

So funny! I just read Charlotte, and Clif's SS, and all three of you are on the same subject! Perfect time of year for this subject (actually all year long!)

Enjoy your grands!

Ginger, what a darling cartoon! Giving is a good topic, one that we really need to think about right now, and all year, for that matter. Not just lots of gifts or our kids, but giving to the poor and needy, not only of our money and goods, but of our time and energy...so many people needing people this time of year.

Have a grea week-end with your grands...you'll need a nice long rest when they go home!

Blessings,
Mary

Funny cartoon! I, too, was watching my 14 month old granddaughter this Spiritual Sunday and know "that's all you can do." Forget multi-tasking!

Hi Ginger! Three little ones this weekend~ you must be tired--but in a good way! What a blessing!

I love this saying you mentioned about "It is more blessed to give than to receive."

I still have (40 some years old now) a little plaque that reads: Those who give have all things

This saying has always meant so much to me...

God bless! Happy Holidays!
