Rest from all work is good for the soul, God knows what is best! Thank you Ginger for the reminder.
We will definitely break down if we don't rest. And the saddest thing, we aren't going to be able to give Him the time and respect He so deserves from us. One day is all He wants to remember Him...and reflect on His love, mercy and grace.
When we're out of focus, that's when everything is chaotic and not in order. Thank you for this reminder. Have a great weekend. Blessings to you.
This is such an appropriate post for labor day. Thanks for sharing.
Hello Ginger,
A suitable post for any time but very appropriate for this weekend. The Lord knew we needed rest. Thank you for sharing and have a lovely Sunday and weekend.
Blessings,
Sandi
You are wise to post this especially on this labor day weekend! I remember when I was small and all the businesses shut down on Sunday!
This makes me think of a book I'm reading, Sacred Waiting--Waiting on God in a World That Waits for Nothing. It's really good. .....I tried to send you an email yesterday. All of a sudden it just went off the screen. LOL If you didn't get it let me know. I'll send another one. Maybe I said something you want to hear.LOL
Beautiful, thank you ~
I do need to be reminded of that sometimes, thanks.
God bless you Anne
Such a lovely reminder.
Thank you for this reminder today! Sunday's rest is a gift to cherish.
That is so true---My son, who love history, was telling me about a country in Europe (I forget which one) that at one time tried a 10 day work week. The result was that the animals that were working animals started dying. So they went back to the regular week...intersting.
What a lovely picture, and of course the message to go with it.
This is my first time joining in on Spiritual Sunday & I am really enjoying it. :) I posted "The Stew Story".
What a wonderful reminder, and a lovely picture.

I am so thankful God gave us the Sabbath!!!!

Hi Ginger...great reminder for the Labor Day week-end. I can remember when all the stores and business was closed on Sunday...would love to see that again. Somehow, we think shopping isn't labor! When I was little, a SS teacher taught us that the Sabbath was for being restful, but wasn't for being idle...it was for worship and reflecting on the Lord, having family conversations about the blessings received, and reading the Word. Where did that go in our society?
May you have a very restful week-end! Mary
You'll have to make another one of your days a "7th" ...hope you get your rest, soon.
Thanks for sharing this with us today!
Beautiful reminder of the Sabbath.
Thank you so much for this beautiful post~~
Blessings,
Lynn♥

Sometimes I feel as if I'm working 7 days a week with all of the blogging!
Hi Ginger, very fitting for Labor Day weekend. Sunday should be a day of rest. We need to be charged physically and spiritually.
Thank you for fixing my link. I was so tired when I did that post last night. LOL.
Hugs...Jeanne

Good evening Ginger. I really do try to rest each and every Sunday. But sometimes (hanging head in shame) I procrastinate and end up doing a few little things after Mass.
Your gentle reminder has helped me to realize the work will be there the next day.
God bless.
Very true. Thank you for the reminder.
I share my old post.
Regina
