The Church is the people, and the Word says "If my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves...and pray...I will forgive their sin...and heal their land." That verse came to me while I was praying for you and your church today. Bless you, Ginger, for your hunger for God. McDonald's and In and Out makes total sense. I think anyone who has been to In and Out can surely relate - nobody can beat their hamburgers! :)Southwest Cottage Designshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09775924772350439160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5761103468165795612.post-92217763438646908372011-07-12T22:27:00.828-04:002011-07-12T22:27:00.828-04:00its a nice blog i found outits a nice blog i found outVac-Vhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12628267529547934155noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5761103468165795612.post-84789926086135552322011-07-03T00:14:39.970-04:002011-07-03T00:14:39.970-04:00Praying for your church and the meeting. It is so true though that things and people certainly do change. Churches change. Change is inevitable. I hope the meeting went well and they can become more like In and Out.
Blessings,
CharlotteCharlottehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12533075034458645148noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5761103468165795612.post-37749206105642898532011-06-27T12:20:29.510-04:002011-06-27T12:20:29.510-04:00Hi Ginger,

Seems there is less and less commitment. It's sad! God loves the church (His people) and wants us to gather and celebrate and worship Him. I'll be praying God's presence will be felt in your meetings. We need to grow and when we stop growing and learning out spirits long for more. I for a time thought I needed to leave my church, but through much prayer God kept me there. I don't believe I would've found what I thought I needed at any church and God knew that.

I will be praying for your church.

Blessings,
MistyMistyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08741641297680828602noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5761103468165795612.post-11355350157996716132011-06-26T15:24:27.964-04:002011-06-26T15:24:27.964-04:00I think it's a perfect analogy Ginger. He just didn't agree with the way the pastor was handling things. He is now happy but I think he still feel sad about leaving people he had grown to really love. It is a serious and sad thing when a church stops growing. It can be frustrating too and is one of the reasons I left the one that I had attended for years.
